Koloa Rum Tasting- Kilohana, Kauai

A rainy day on Kauai doesn’t always strike me as a good day to go to the beach. So on Monday while the rain was falling, my two friends and I thought that we would check out the rum tasting room at Kilohana Plantation. Koloa Rum Company has a great shop for souvenir shopping and tasting. The shop is full of locally produced items and the tasting room is a nice little room with a single bar. There they have all their rum lined up wearing the little medals they have won throughout the past 3 years.

Only 20% of Kauai is accessible by car. So, how do you get to see the rest of this beautiful island? A helicopter tour is the answer! While on Kauai you should hit up one of the amazing juice bars. They are filled with refreshing freshness! Visiting Kauai Coffee Company

This past week I had some family members visiting from the Seattle area. Of course drinking some coffee was on their to do lists every morning. We all thought it would be nice to get some coffee from the largest grower here on Kauai as well as the largest grower in Hawaii. So we were headed to the west side of the island to get a drink and some samples from Kauai Coffee Company. There are free samples daily for all you coffee lovers!

Kauai is famous for many things but one being the Napali coast. The seclusion, majestic cliffs, and shear drop lines are very pleasing to the eye. There is only two ways to enjoy the beauty of the Napali coast, that is by sea or air. Many people embark on this journey with an amazing boat tour. No matter which you choose, the views are amazing. Kauai Luau- Sheraton's Aulii Luau

This past Wednesday my friend and I attended the Aulil Luau at the Sheraton Kauai Resort located on the South side of the island. The seating for the luau started at 6:00pm and lasted for about half an hour while live music was played and pupus were enjoyed. The luau includes a show with great dancing, live music, and great entertainment. The scenery is great at this luau and it is the only luau on the island that has an ocean view.
